Fitted across BMW, MINI, Alpina and BMW-derived Toyota models carrying these ECUs. Coverage is representative — the same model range can carry different ECU generations by build date and market.
Connections
- +12 V — two feeds (connectors 1 and 5)
- Ground (connector 5)
- CAN pair (connector 1) — H/L assignment follows your harness
The connector positions are what is shared; use the harness that matches your tool for the actual wires.
Before you connect
Identify the ECU from its part number first — bench work on the wrong unit or a mismatched harness can leave a module in a bad state.
These ECUs share a physical connector group, but firmware security and unlock requirements differ between variants and software versions. Confirm access for the exact ECU before reading or writing.
